Open Access Copyright Policy – JECIR
The Journal of Engineering and Computational Intelligence Review (JECIR) is fully committed to transparency and fairness in matters of copyright and intellectual property. Under JECIR's open access policy, authors retain full copyright of their work while granting broad public access to their articles for non-commercial use. All published content is freely accessible online and may be reused by others with proper citation of the original authors and source.

It is important to note that author rights apply solely to those listed as authors or co-authors of the work. The following rights are retained by authors upon publication:

  1. The right to reproduce and distribute copies of the article (including electronic versions) for personal use
    b. The right to present the article at conferences or academic events, and to share copies at such gatherings
    c. The right to use the article for teaching, research, and other scholarly purposes
    d. The right to incorporate the article into a thesis or dissertation, provided it is not published for commercial purposes
    e. The right to develop derivative works, expand the article into a book, or reuse sections in other writings, provided the original publication in JECIR is properly cited
    f. The right to retain ownership of any patents, trademarks, or methods described in the article

JECIR supports the principles of open access to foster the free exchange of scientific knowledge while preserving the rights and recognition of authors.

The following terms apply to all authors whose papers are submitted to and accepted for publication in the Journal of Engineering and Computational Intelligence Review (JECIR):

  1. Authors retain full copyright ownership of their work while granting JECIR the right of first publication. All published content is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 3.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author(s) and source are properly credited.
  2. Authors are permitted to enter into separate, non-exclusive agreements for distribution of the published version of the article (e.g., institutional repositories, books, or other publications), as long as proper credit is given to the original publication in JECIR.
  3. Preprints (early versions of the manuscript before submission) are not allowed. However, post-prints (final accepted versions in the same format as published) may be shared after acceptance.
  4. Authors may include the article, in whole or in part, in their own books, theses, or dissertations, provided the original publication is clearly acknowledged.
  5. Authors may reuse content, data, or figures from their article in future works, provided the original publication in JECIR is appropriately cited.
  6. Authors and their affiliated institutions may reproduce and distribute the article, in whole or in part, for educational or academic purposes, as long as proper credit is given to the original source.

Reader & Librarian Rights – JECIR
Readers and librarians are permitted to copy, distribute, and share articles published in the Journal of Engineering and Computational Intelligence Review (JECIR) without prior permission from the journal, provided the following conditions are met:

  • The material is not sold or used for commercial purposes
  • It is used strictly for educational, research, personal study, or knowledge-sharing purposes
  • The original authors and source (JECIR) are properly acknowledged

Under this license, authors retain full copyright ownership while granting users the right to download, reuse, reprint, and share the article through any media—including websites and social platforms—for non-commercial purposes, with proper citation of the original source.
  2. Authors may immediately deposit the final published PDF of their article in institutional repositories, personal websites, or public servers, provided that a direct link to the original article on the JECIR website is included to maintain transparency and proper attribution.
